How the American Media Cost Dems The Election

Well, Mrs. Clinton, you and your DMC cohorts can thank the media for the recent election results. Include in that number the parade of talking heads who took every opportunity to degrade and dismiss even the idea of a Trump presidency.
Yet, here we are.
We should not forget the surrogates, specifically those who were on the prowl for their next white house jobs. They too played a part in defaming President-Elect Trump by calling him racist, misogynistic, dangerous, unfit. All while ignoring the mounting evidence against Mrs. Clinton in her corruption case.
Black elites assumed the name Clinton would carry with it some weight and favor in the black community. But Hillary and Bill are not one in the same. No one was game to allow her to leverage her husband’s likability and popularity this time, just like they didn’t allow it the last time she ran for president.
And with good reason.

The Clintons v. Black America

Many black voters struggled with the idea of a Clinton White House not just for the corruption investigation, but also because of her track record.
She is widely credited with first popularizing the term “super-predator” to reference young black criminals. In February of this year, The Young Turks brought nationwide attention to a speech Mrs. Clinton gave back in 1994 (which you can watch here) defending her husband’s Three Strikes bill.
President Bill Clinton put the infamous Three Strikes bill in place during his presidency and Mrs. Clinton was both passionately adamant and very vocal in her efforts to pass this bill. The problem is it disproportionately targeted African American and Hispanic men and gave legal justification for courts – which have historically been much harder on defendants of color than white defendants -  to pass down life sentences to thousands of black men and women who committed non-violent offenses. I talked extensively about that issue in this post.
So, how is it that we can fast forward twenty years and have a presumptuous Hillary Clinton thinking she can win the top post in the country – yea, one of the top posts in the world – on the backs of the black voters.
She can’t. She didn’t.
And the black leaders who blindly defended her in the interest of supporting the Democratic Party could only use rampant crime as her defense. Bigotry and racism don’t cure rampant crime.
Meanwhile, no stats have ever supported this idea that a Democrat in the White House ever significantly improved the quality of life for African Americans, at least not in the last 50 years.
But the media put forth a good effort, trying to obfuscate the severe faults of the Democratic nominee by getting Americans to focus on Donald Trump’s bad behavior.
A rich guy ogling beauty queens or patting a bottom or two is not a matter of national security. At most, it’s bad behavior, poor home training, and in many cases typical behavior exhibited by old billionaires. But the media worked so hard to parlay that into porn that I was forced to turn my TV off toward the end of the election to protect my 11 year-old daughter.
The real issues pressing the minds of most Americans had nothing to do with Donald Trump being a jerk to pageant girls. Americans care about jobs and security. They care about safer streets and being able to afford the rising cost of living. They care about access to healthy food and good doctors.
But the Dems failed to address any of these issues. In fact, the Dems tried to minimize the need for Mrs. Clinton to even have a strategy that will boost the economy. That was never her focus. Yes, the stock market achieved great highs since the last recession. But all the wealth created went to the same Wall Street elites that were funding the DNC, while leaving Main Street folks in abject poverty.
What about unfair trade and the systematic dismantling of America's industrial rust belt? What about the factories, jobs, livelihoods, and trades that have disappeared from America into the abyss of Chines trade?
China has been eating out lunch for the last twenty-five years while elites and greedy business people cheered them on in the name of free trade.
Meanwhile, Americans are saying, "Free trade my ass!”
Job, jobs, jobs.
Winning for America.
No more free rides.
Make America great again.
My best guess is that Donald Trump gave a public voice to the quiet revolution that was already churning in the minds and hearts of many Americans. He was elected because he had the guts to say what we were all thinking. That’s why he stayed in the media. That’s why his rallies brought thousands of people. 706 202 0615
The media tried to minimize it. The Dems seem to have missed it.
The Democrats are now trying to persuade the electoral college to watch a security briefing before casting their final votes. This Johnny-come-lately strategy completely undermines the American voting process and the idea of Democracy!

Here’s a piece of advice, Democrats: Accept your defeat, learn from your massive list of mistakes, and come back to the next presidential election smarter, stronger, and with a real candidate.
